German (Pre)occupation

My living room is under siege by an army of extremely pleasant Berliners, friends-of-a-friend come to tear it up in NYC for a few weeks. This is a-ok by me, since I have an unabashed lady boner for everything German. For once I don't even mind that the wall between mine and the room next door is paper thin, since even "Ugh, I'm so hung over" and "it's bloody 6am in the morning!" sound like music to my ears in Deutsch!

Thank you, lady! This is by far my most favorite vest in the world, and one of my favorite items of clothing. I wish I could find one in every color of the rainbow...

liz--it is the shirred knee length skirt although the model on the site wears it REALLY bad. Don't be fooled!

isa--I say, the more German the better!

Tara Lynn--of course, I know you from wardrobe_remix! I'm glad you're digging the blog :n)

yana--heh, yes, I'm sure it's a lot different being German yourself. But to me, it's magic! Or maybe Im just easily impressed?

And thank you, everyone!

I always thought most people don't really like German especially how it sounds. :D Anyway, I love your blog and your style is really amazing!
Viele Grüße aus Deutschland auch von mir,

me i#m german too. i hate the sound of our language. there's no chance to compare it with french and some others....but your style is amazing - as it always does. like your blog. so keep it up!

I don't even think it sounds that bad- but I can't say that objectively of course.

not to be impolite, but what size do you wear in that skirt?

Honestly, I think I prefer German to French. French has never really done it for me. But I can certainly understand how it feels to dislike the way your own language sounds. I think English sounds pretty awful, at least American English. It's bad enough when you understand what people are saying, but abstracted, I think it would drive me bananas. Add an English accent, however, and I'm putty in your hands!

nicabella--that's quite all right! I wear an xs, but small works too, it's just a bit more voluminous on me than I like.
