My birthday isn't actually for another solid month. But since Alex leaves soon and will be away when it finally rolls around (and will miss his as well a week later) we're going to celebrate a little on Friday instead. He's already pitched in to give me what I wanted the very most (plane tickets home for two weeks this summer) so I'm refusing to let him get me anything else...except flowers, maybe. But if there had been any change leftover from those (INSANELY effing expensive) tickets, I certainly wouldn't have said no to any one of these pretty things.

I like getting breakfast (and a hugely indulgent one at that) as a birthday gift. I wouldn't mind one of each of the things posted here either - maybe one day I'll have enough 'spare' money to splurge on a Mociun piece. Right now, like you, most of my money goes to the travel/home tickets fund to visit my family in Israel and Paris. Alas, it's going slowly ...

Can I wish you happy birthday now, and again in another month's time?

Hey there... I found your blog via my Lost in Translation record photo - I'd noticed a tiny bump in my Flickr stats and followed the trail over here. Thanks for the credit! And happy pre birthday. Lovely blog you have :]

happy (very early!) birthday (: i hate people buying me gifts, i don't want to come across as greedy (um...) so i understand why you wouldn't want him spending all his money on you. have fun on friday!

Flowers offer delicacy, and sweet smellings for all those who recieve them. Flowers are my favorite thing. Right now, I'm waiting for the rain to pass so I can let the sun feed my flowers in the garden. It's been raining all week, and I'm worried they'll get water logged!

Anyways, receiving flowers is the best. I always dream of a boy plucking wild flowers for me, but then I get a funny feeling in my tummy, because plucking wild flowers kind of seems like a sin.

Anyways
I love every single one of your posts

Happy birthday! Love that crop top. It's so refreshing to see prints other than florals these days :P

Thanks everybody! I did indeed get my wish (and then some): fresh roses, seen in the post above this one, and a bunch of lilacs in the prettiest purples and pinks. What a dream!
